braindamage, According to the official State Power Corporation of China, there are 70 coal-fired power plants in operation. The following table lists plants by Name, Location (Province, Municipality or Autonomous Region), Plant capacity (MW), and Fuel type: "Principal Fossil and Nuclear Power Plants in Operation" http://www.sp.com.cn/newsp/english/powersource/above1000.htm These figures are for plants of 1000 MegaWatts and above, as of December 31, 2000. Coal-fired power generation represents slightly over 75% of the total electrical power produced in China: "Power source" http://www.sp.com.cn/newsp/english/powersource/thermal.htm Thanks, huntsman | |
