I am looking for:
1) Points Outstanding (higher priority). This may be expressed in $,
or awards outstanding, rewards outstanding. I will accept these
variations.

2) Number of Members

for Rewards & Loyalty programs in the hotel and credit card space. (I
have already done this for airlines).

People earn "points" or "miles" when they spend on a credit card that
has built-in rewards (such as American Express Membership Rewards), or
stay at a hotel with rewards program (e.g. Hilton HHonors, Marriott
Rewards). Other terms useful to think about when solving this are -
"rewards", "awards", "awards/rewards outstanding". These terms are
used interchangeably depending on the firm.

I need these data points for at least (2) of the following hotels, and
(3) of the following credit cards.

Credit Cards - American Express Membership Rewards (or Platinum, or
Centurion), Citibank AAdvantage, Diner's Club, Capital One Miles One,
UBS Platinum Mastercard, Smith Barney FMA Gold Mastercard. Again, in
order of priority.

Hotels - Marriott Rewards, Hilton HHonors, Hyatt, Starwood, Priority
One. (In order of priority).

Research Sources;
I completed this research for airlines in a few ways.

1. Trade journals - Webflyer.com - Yearly Award Redemption.
Frequentflier.com articles on the impact of bankruptcy on rewards
programs.

2. SEC Filings. Several folks have told me to look at annual reports
and financial statements, esp. in the notes section. Look for words
such as "redemptions", "points", "awards", "rewards/points provision",
etc. They would report either the points, or dollar worth of points in
the financial statement. I did not have much luck here but maybe you
will.

3. Call headquarter and smooth talk to the folks in "Partner
Marketing", or "Affiliate and Sponsorship Marketing". These two data
points will be well known to these guys.

4. Articles.

5. Company websites.
