Foot drop is a condition that can occur as the result of stroke or
spinal cord injury. Foot drop involves weakness in the muscles of the
ankle and foot that help the body clear the foot during the swing
phase of walking, affecting gait and causing the foot to slap to the
ground. I want to know how many people who have had strokes or spinal
cord injury develop this condition around the world.

Also, how are stroke and spinal cord injury patients treated for this
condition and what do the treatments cost? For example ankle foot
orthoses (AFO), electromyographic feedback, surgery, nerve
stimulation, etc. What companies offer (or are working on) these
treatments?

When I ask what companies offer or are working on treatments for foot
drop, I am interested in the companies that have
developed/manufactured the products -- not distributors.
