A friend of mine has a problem with their wireless setup. He can't connect to the Internet, and when I do a WINIPCFG, I get an autoconfig address of 169.x.x.x (usual autoconfig address), and an IP address of fe::80f048:afff:fefc:ecdd%4. I've never seen an IP address like that before - very strange. Anyone have an idea of what it could be? All adapters bound to TCP/IP seem to give these readings. Thanks... (PS - I know this isn't the MAC address I'm looking at) |
