Hi Railroadman ~
Surf Snoop by Buffalo Software is spyware. Here's what it says:
"Do you know where your children have been today? With
Surf Snoop, you can. A unique web site logger that
works with either Internet Explorer or Netscape, Surf
Snoop allows parents to view [where their children
have been].

and
"... Surf Snoop ... [is] the only monitoring software you
cant afford to be without!"
The difference with this spyware is that it logs on the computer the
activities, instead of sending it to another computer. It's still
spying, no matter what it does with the information it gathers.
Adware just installs ads on your computer, often cancelling other
functions to show you the ads.
Google search strategy
- Surf Snoop
Hope this helps,
