We are looking for manufacturer to purchase these miniature airplanes
for resale. Each kit when fully assembled is about the size of a
quarter. Domestic and/or foreign supplier welcomed. Easy to
assemble with scissors and NO glue. Looking for assorted sizes! Kits
come on very thin metal sheets (like paper)... One sheet per kit!

Request for Question Clarification by techtor-ga on 02 Nov 2003 22:26 PST
Greetings Onetrilliondollars,
I found what could be the manufacturer of the planes you showed in the
pictures. Would you like me to post their website here as an answer?
Also, are you looking for other manufacturers? It does look like the
manufacturer I found could be the only one making the near coin-sized
planes in the pictures.

I am looking for more than one manufacturer. If the manufacturer is
Strange Treasures then they are not manufacturers.

Hello again Onetrilliondollars,
I'll let you know that Strange Treasures did not appear in my searches
for the manufacturer. If you recall the pics you showed, I recall
seeing Japanese text in them, and thus, I confirmed that the
manufacturer of the micro-plane kits is Japanese.

Other plane products I found of around the same size do not make them
as kits. They are die-cast planes, actually. Would you still be
interested in die-cast (pre-built) planes?

You can post answer. Also include the extra suppliers for die cast.

i have posted other requests w/o answers. can you help me there too.

Hello again Onetrilliondollars,
Thanks for letting me post my answer.
The manufacturer of the miniature metal airplane kits you showed is
Aero Base, based in Japan. Their kits are photo-etched kits made of
copper, brass and nickel-silver, and still require CA (superglue) to
assemble (according to one of the dealers I mentioned below). I could
not find any other manufacturer making a similar product, so I'm sure
the products are unique to Aero Base.

If you would like sources on pre-built photo-etched planes (made in
the same way as the Aero Base planes), I can give you these
photo-etched manufacturers (making mostly planes for 1/350, 1/700 and
other scaled ships):

I'll mention more in case I remember them.

Google Search strings used here:

aerobase
aerobase 1/160

I hope this has been a most helpful answer. If you need anything else,
or have a problem with the answer, do please post a Request for
Clarification and I shall respond as soon as I can. Thank you.

Greetings again Onetrilliondollars,
I had seen your question on Mudmen before, and searched on it, though
I found the product very hard to find. Reseachers weren't working on
it lately since the question had expired. If you would like
researchers to work on it again, you might want to post the question
anew. It would cost 50 cents to do so, but at least it gets the
attention of researchers like myself. I hope that helps.
