Hello Mhollwich, Here's an english word containing the letters P L U S in a row (which is not containing the typical meaning of "plus"): - plush Dictionary.com defines plush as: http://www.dictionary.com/search?q=plush&r=2 "A fabric of silk, rayon, cotton, or other material, having a thick deep pile." Hope this helps! |

For what it's worth, the "plus" in "surplus" does have something to do with the traditional meaning of "plus." Both words come from the same root; etymologically speaking, "surplus" means "super plus."
