jlovat-ga,
The following link will be of prime assistance to you in locating a
psychology-oriented job in either Trinidad or Tobago. It?s the on-line
version of the Trinidad Guardian newspaper, a direct link to the ?Job
Seeker? page. On this page, you can enter specific keywords and search
parameters to refine your search for specific job openings (which I
will do for you below). This link is to the current edition of the
paper?s Job Seeker main page, with no search results entered. You
should bookmark this page and visit it often. You also have the
option of posting your own resume there to remain on file. Here?s the
link to the main job seekers page:
From here, if interested only in T&T jobs, click the ?Advanced Search?
link, and then select Trinidad & Tobago from the ?Country? drop-down
listbox before entering keywords to search for.
You may also find the following Google Directory page for ?psychology?
useful. It is basically a psychology portal to many different
psychology resources on the Internet and WWW, including job listings
in different countries:
The following jobsabroad.com webpage for the Carribbean offers
internships either no pay or ?Modest stipends.? However, these people
may be able to give you more detailed information on open jobs for
people with more experience, and may even be willing to pay more for
someone with more experience:
The following website is to a Carribbean job search site where you can
search jobs by island. From the site below, scroll down the page a bit
and select the ?Trinidad & Tobago? radio button (next to the
appropriate flag icon):
You will be required to become a member of the site before you can do
specific searches, but there is no cost to join. After you select the
Trinidad&Tobago radio button and click the ?Search? button at the
bottom of the page, you?ll be redirected to a Login page. From here,
click the small ?Join Us? link, where you?ll be prompted through the
registration process.
Google search strategy:
Keywords,
?caribbean social science jobs?:
,
?Trinidad psychology jobs?:
,
?Trinidad social science jobs?:
Then, conduct all of the above searches substituting the name of any
third world country you are interested in working in for ?Trinidad? or
?Carribbean.? For example,
?Haiti social science jobs?:
Keep in mind that e-mailing companies or organizations directly is one
of the best methods of obtaining information about applying for a job.
I certainly hope that this information is valuable in conducting your
job search. If I have left anything out that is important to you,
please don?t hesitate to ask for Clarification to this Answer?I?m more
than happy to provide it.
I wish you the best of luck in your job search.
Sincerely,
Omniscientbeing-ga
