Most (all?) Islamic countries prohibit the importation of pork or
derived products. Does this include contact lens protein dissolving
solution which often contains porcine enzymes?

Hi grammatoncleric,

I haven't located any hard facts related to this question. However,
living in the Middle East and having worn contact lenses for years, I
have never had any problems finding any solution, including Alcon,
here. My sister who lives in Dubai, UAE has no problems buying them
either. She also travels often and carries them with her in and out of
the country.
I hope that helps.

Regards,
rainbow~
