I used to listen to a wonderful cassette tape called "Songs that won the war" and have since lost it. I am wondering if you could find a CD version of it. There are many different CD's with that title, but i'm specifically looking for the one that I used to have and it is different from all the others in that it had 2 tracks of winston churchill speeches, one at the beginning of each side of the tape. If you could find a place that sells this CD I would greatly appreciate it. If you cannot find the CD, then i will settle for the tape or the MP3 of that if it is available somewhere. |

Hello Seidleroni, I searched on the Internet and found the CD sold on Amazon. If what you have in mind is songs during World War 2, I think this may be it. Amazon.com: Music: Songs That Won the War [Columbia River] http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00000DC37/ref%3Dnosim/vvzv-20/103-2471608-8153443 Tracklist: 1. He's My Guy - Dinah Shore 2. Hip Hip Hooray - Bing Crosby 3. Boys in the Backroom - Marlene Dietrich 4. We're Gonna Make Sure There's Never a War - Al Jolson 5. Bless 'Em All - Bing Crosby 6. Thanks for the Memory - Bob Hope 7. We Did It Before and We Can Do It Again - Robert Merrill 8. Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition! - The Glee Club 9. This Is the Army 10. Let me list other titles in this series: Amazon.com: Music: Songs That Won The War, Vol. 5: A Wing & A Prayer http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000001V8M/103-2471608-8153443?v=glance Songs That Won The War - Swing | Blues | Reviews - Tracks - Information http://misc-music.mainseek.com/153607/86-60250/Songs_That_Won_The_War.html - This is the Volume 8 in the series Songs That Won The War Music CDs at Songsearch (various other volumes) http://catalog.songsearch.net/catalog/s/songs_that_won_the_war.html Songs That Won The War Vol. 9 - Rosie The Riveter | Blues | Reviews - Tracks - Informations http://jazz-music.mainseek.com/35273/18-/Songs_That_Won_The_War_Vol._9.html Songs That Won The War (Series) http://www.jazzdigger.com/s/Songs_That_Won_The_War_Series/ - ANother Page mentioning the series There's even a VHS (music-video style presentation I guess) of the series Songs That Won The War (Various Artists) (VHS:) Find your film at a cheap price with Kelkoo http://films.kelkoo.co.uk/browse/b/150101/ps_AV0161.html Google Search terms used: "songs that won the war" I guess I'll stop the list here, if you use the search terms above (with the quotation marks), you'll find more sites with the album. You can see if it is in CD format. I hope this has been a most helpful answer. If you need anything else, or have a problem with the answer, do please post a Request for Clarification and I shall respond as soon as I can. Thank you. | |
