There are quite a few companies that offer the facility to backup a
PC, or at least some data files, via the internet. I'm considering
subscribing to such a service.

Can you give me some options, please? I'm looking for:
1. A well-established reputable service,
2. That allows me to set up automated backups of selected folders via
a broadband commection, including incremental backups, and
3. Can handle, say 2Gb at not too high a cost.

Personal recommendations and/or objective reviews would be a bonus.

regards

Michael

Perhaps the 2Gb "at not too high a cost" is causing problems? I'll
settle for an answer that covers services offering at least 10Mb.

Hello Michael 2,
$995 a year for 2 GB of data does sound like a fortune to you, does it
(it sure does to me)? The lowest plan for this company I looked up is
$50/year/50MB. I'll look on more.

Hello, Michael2,
How does $360/2GB/per year sound, would that be affordable for you for
an online backup service?
Just wondering, but is it all right to ask for a raise in your price
for the question?

2 Gigabytes would cost quite a bit of money per month for an internet
backup service. What I do for backup is I have an external 200GB
firewire drive and do nightly backups on that. Works great. I can
image my entire 40G hard drive on it and I still have plenty of room
for my home videos too! You can get a smaller 10MB or so Internet plan
if you want a triple backup for your really crucial documents.
