<Prior to the abolition of betting tax, the UK betting market was
worth £7 billion. The abolition of tax was anticipated to result in a
33 to 50 % increase. However it has resulted in a massive 70% increase
in turnover. By 2002 UK betting turnover had reached £1.3 billion per
month which equates to £15.6 billion per year.

Belinda,
Thank you for your great answer. You deserve the fee, but maybe you
can give me one more figure: the breakdown of the total sum of
turnover between the different sources - online, shops, telephone call
centers, etc.
Also - do you know how many dealers are employed?
Thanks again,
Daniel
