Hi there, International mobile phone prefixes consist of a three-digit country code (MCC), followed by a two or three-digit network code (MNC). http://www.numberingplans.com/index.php?goto=guide&topic=E212 I have found a number of GSM phone prefix lists for you. The first two are the most complete: Worldwide Mobile Operators and Network Codes http://flog81.free.fr/networks.php SMS http://www.nilcom.fr/web/operateur-gb.htm The next three aren't as good: GSM Area http://www.krolle.co.uk/gsm/servicelist.htm CHT http://www.cht.com.tw/ServiceCat.php?Page=ServiceArea&CatID=589 Network Codes (text file) www.mobyproject.com/link/networkcodes.txt Here in Australia, I know that the main mobile networks are: 01 Telstra 02 Optus 03 Vodafone 06 Hutchison (aka Orange / 3 Network) 08 One.Tel For most purposes, knowing the above is sufficient. NumberingPlans.com ================== None of the above lists are as complete as the data at NumberingPlans.com. For example, they list 14 extra, rarely used prefixes for Australia. The data can be accessed one country at a time for free: http://www.numberingplans.com/index.php?goto=guide&topic=mccs Or as a downloadable file as part of a ?49.95 per month subscription. Subscription Info: http://www.numberingplans.com/index.php?goto=order Downloadable files: http://www.numberingplans.com/index.php?goto=download This is how they describe their service: "Numberingplans.com is also the only place where you will find all national numbering plans fully edited. You might think this goes without saying, but it doesn't. Our clean database presents all information of all countries in a uniform way. For us to keep them accurate, we rely on the telecom regulators and operators around the world." http://www.numberingplans.com/index.php?goto=about Search keywords: onetel code 08 50506 hutchison Best wishes, robertskelton-ga |
