I live in San Jose, Ca. and my father-in-law is from Venezuela.  I
want to buy him some food products from Venezuela but am having a
difficult time finding a store that sells the stuff.  In particular
I'd like to buy him some Polar Beer or Cerveza Polar.  Please help.

I wanted to clarify something.  Even though I stated I was looking for
"food products from Venezuela" I specifically want to find someone or
some store that sells Cerveza Polar in the SF Bay Area.  I thought I
had made that clear by stating "In particular I'd like to buy him some
Polar Beer or Cerveza Polar" in my original question.

I am sorry I was unable to find your Polar. You are right, I should
not have answered the question at all. After searching for 2 hours and
finding no stores or distributors who carry the beer, I should have
left the answer blank. I was so pleased at getting the other food
items, I rushed to answer. Because of the timing (Friday evening), I
was unable to contact the Consul myself, and e-mails will probably go
unread untill Monday, and should not have attempted to answer your
question.

However, had you told me that you had found "most of the other stuff"
, I would not have completed my answer. I did mention that I had
e-mailed Polar asking for distrubtors in the US, specifically your
area of California. I had called relatives in DC last night asking
them to call contacts in the Embassy there (Those folks always have
Polar on hand and may know where to get it. The Embassy and Consul are
closed for the weekend) Had you asked for an answer clarification
before you closed the question by rating it, I could respond when/if I
get a response from relatives and/or Polar. I wish your father-in-law
good luck in finding his beer.
