I have not found a table specifically for average monthly cash
expenditures for a family of four at particular income levels. I have
however, found a table of average annual cash expenditures for
consumer units at particular income levels (e.g. $20,000 to $29,999,
$30,000 to $39,999), which includes the average number in the consumer
unit. I have also found a table with those expenditures for consumer
units of different sizes (e.g., four persons, five or more persons).
The most recent statistics are from 2001; they go back to 1991.
Would these statistics be sufficient?

They would be sufficient if four persons in a "consumer unit" is the
functional equivalent of a family of four. Also, I am interested in a
range much greater than the income levels you quoted (up to $39,000).
I need information for income levels up to $600,000.

The highest bracket is "$70,000 and over". A "consumer unit" is
usually a family, but also includes people living and spending
together who are not a family.
Given that, would you be interested in my answer?

No, thank you. I need data for much higher income levels. Thanks for trying.

If you ultimately change your mind, I have in fact found these figures
for consumer units with a highest bracket of $90,000 and over, as
opposed to the $70,000 and over previously indicated.
