Hello Alan,

I have access to an online database that lists hotels worldwide, and
that can be sorted by hotels with "conference facilities".

While it lists almost 2,000 hotels in the state of Maine, it
identifies only 17 of those as having conference facilities. This
seems low to me, but that's the way the numbers came out.

I can do similar runs for hotels with conference facilities in other
states or in individual countries in Europe.

But it becomes simply too unwieldly to extract the data for the entire
US, and North America, and then Europe.

Is there a way to pare down your request to a more manageable task.
On possibility...I could, however instruct you how to access the data
yourself, and you could extract whatever subsets you need for
individual states or select countries. I think you would find -- as I
have -- that doing it for entire continents just becomes a bit much.

Let me know what you think.

It is incredibly low - that database doesn't give me what I want. It
just has "conference" facilities. I'm also interested in meeting
rooms, rooms to have parties/weddings/reunions/whatever.

For example:

The Roma Cafe, Demilo's, Portland Regency in Portland Maine all have
space for functions/meetings/parties/weddings.

I'd grossly estimate there are 1,000 restaurants/lodging places/B&Bs
that have function space for private get togethers.

So your current source of info is not going to work unfortunately.

Let me know if you need further clarification or want to drop the assignment.

Thanks,
Alan

Thanks for getting back to me. You're absolutely right...my source of
information won't meet your needs. Perhaps another researcher will be
able to assist you on this one.

Good luck.
