Some 15 years back I heared a song played by a radio station in
Germany which I have been trying to track down ever since. It was
performed by DeeDee Bridgewater, probably together with someone else
(whose name I did not catch). The song either was called "You're so
good to me" or contained this refrain several times.

I am looking for both
a) the precise title of this track
b) where I will be able to buy it from (i.e. the title of the CD/Vinyl
on which the track can be found and the online or offline shop which
has it in stock, or alternatively where I could get it as an MP3 file)

I am really curious as to whether this Google Answers thing works, as
I have not been able to track this down despite lots of research.

Thanks, seizer, appreciate your effort. I will check these out. Should
one of them be the song that I was looking for, I will pay you the $10
irrespective of what else is happening here.

For clarification: The song may well be published by someone else, but
DeeDee Bridgewater definitely also contributed. If I remember
correctly, then the "You're so good to me" refrain was repeated a
couple of times in a row. I'd define a successful answer as an answer
that allows me to find and purchase the song.

And on something else (while I am learning how this works): Once you
submitted a question on Google Answers, you cannot modify it or add
comments for a couple of hours, because it seems as if all questions
are snatched up immediately by researchers and get locked. I'd prefer
it if I, as the original poster, could still add comments to it for
clarification.

Could you have heard a cover version of the Beach Boys' "You're So
Good to Me" (1965)?

Hi Gerhard!

I think that "Bad for me" is actually the title of the song you're
looking for (I just listened to it and it has "...your love is good,
good, good to me..." as a refrain). You can check it out yourself at
musicline.de ( http://www.musicline.de/de/product/075596260022 ) -
they have most of her albums with short samples that you can either
listen to as wma or real files. The song in question is the top one on
that page. The site also lists links to companies selling the CD in
quesiton. If you require any more help with your aquisition, just tell
me.

I answered this question in the clarification section because I am
still unsure if this is actually the song you were looking for. If it
actually is, tell me if you would accept this as an answer to your
question?

Bye!

You certainly asked a real tough one there...

Can't help you much, I'm afraid, but there may be a faint possibility
that the same song was also sung by Curtis Mayfield, and later, Mary J
Blige (both roughly the same genres as Dee Dee, hence a possibility?).

Curtis Mayfield's song is on his album "Heartbeat", Mary J Blige uses
it in her song "Be Happy" on her album "My Life".

Just a few thoughts, good luck in your search.

Hi Gerhard,

I haven't been able to find the lyrics to "Till the Next Somewhere"
(Precious Thing), but someone's trying to locate this Dee Dee/Ray
Charles duet.
http://www.jazzvocal.com/wwwboard/messages/490.html Could you tell us
if the "someone else" was male or female?

Here's an interview I found on the search engine ixquick.com:

Ironically, Dee Dee has a song title "Bad For Me." :-) I hope we can
find this for you.

Regards,
V
