Hello.

Night vision monoculars (one eye) are available for around $100.

Here's one for $109.99 from thesportsauthority.com:
AMT NZT-1 1st Generation Night Vision Monocular
http://www.thesportsauthority.com/product/index.jsp?productId=684953

You're more likely to get a bargain on eBay, though:

Search eBay for Night Vision Monocular
http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Fws%2F&krd=1&from=R8&MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&ht=1&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&query=night+vision+monocular

I checked eBay's completed sales, and several night vision monoculars
have actually sold in the $50-$80 range recently.

You can also use Google's Froogle tool to browse for low-cost night
vision monoculars. See Froogle:
http://froogle.google.com/froogle?price1=1&price2=150&btnP=Go&q=%22night+vision%22+monocular&price=between

search strategy:
froogle: "night vision", monocular
ebay

I hope this helps. If anything is unclear, please let me know via the
request clarification feature. Congratulations on your newborn
daughter!

You can also pick up a night light for about $5 at most department/drug stores

blue nightlights sort of work because the blood in your eyelids
totally absorbs the blue. exposure to blue light also ruins your
night vision, but how much night vision a newborn needs anyway?
