Can anyone point me to a database I could access for free or inexpensively to get results from the 2000 Presidential election on a county by county basis? I'd also be willing to manually recreate my own database from a web display if I must. |

Hi there, I have found a site that has compiled the results, and they are available for free. Center for Congressional and Presidential Studies - School of Public Affairs - American University http://www.american.edu/academic.depts/spa/ccps/index.html The data appears within the Federal Elections Project and can be accessed in two ways: Interactive Data http://www.american.edu/academic.depts/spa/ccps/fepstates.html Text Data http://www.american.edu/academic.depts/spa/ccps/feptext.html You might also be interested in this map of the results at county level: http://www.uselectionatlas.org/USPRESIDENT/GENERAL/pe2000USA2.gif Search strategy --------------- I went to the appropriate Google Directory category, and followed links... http://directory.google.com/Top/Regional/North_America/United_States/Government/Elections/Presidential/2000/?tc=1 Best wishes, robertskelton-ga |
