I was wondering if there was a nationally accredited institution that
*trains* and provides certification to become Administrative or
Personal Assistants. I currently have years of experience in customer
service...and on a personal level I know I can handle most duties I
see listed for admin/personal assistant jobs, but was wondering if
there is a training institution recognized nation-wide that would 1)
Do completely training from entry-level up. 2) Possibly help provide
placement afterwards through business contacts//placement agency.

I know there are legendary schools for butlers...and other jobs that
are 1-on-1 with the service recipient..and was looking for specialized
schooling (a course) for this line of work.

I have a HS diploma, college credits, but not a college degree at this time.

Anything in, or with a branch near San Francisco, CA would be a plus.
Must be US based.

Preferrably takes place at the training institution/facility. Not an
online course, not a book, not a by mail certifcate program.

A "respected" training institution, qualification in my original
question would've eliminted the above by implication, but I felt it
best be clarified.

Something similiar to the world wide accreditation that 5-star hotel
Lead Concierges take, that set them a part..and make them good as gold
in the industry.

Hi iromeoi-ga,

Have you considered a two year business college or secretarial college
in your area? Many of these schools are nationally accredited by the
some of the same accreditng bodies as colleges and universities. Also,
I don't know if you are interested in the legal field, but many
schools including community or junior colleges that offer paralegal
training also offer training for adminstrative assistants and
secretaries in the legal profession.

Just a few options to consider in your search. Good luck.
