Records of the dedication to Marquess of Rambures, Louis-Antoine de la
Roche by King Louis of France. In about 1756-1770. A plaque was
given to the Marquess of Rambures. It had a golf scene etched by J.
Aliamet. The etching was a reverse dipiction of Adriaen van de
Velde's, A Frost Scene: 1668. Where could I find the written records
of this dedication?

Hello yffad

I looked in some online French archives and library catalogues without
finding any clues:

National Archives
http://www.archivesnationales.culture.gouv.fr/chan/

National Library of France
http://www.bnf.fr/

Have you tried contacting the Chateau de Rambures, to ask if they know
of any documents/archives where you might find out more?

Some information in English on the castle, the Rambures and the
Roche-Fontenille family.

Good luck - Leli
