My wife just ran a credit report via yahoo. There is a credit card
listed on the report that she has no idea where/how that card got on
her report. Granted, the card being there is not negatively effecting
her credit rating seeing as how it has never been used. Anyway, there
is no phone number to contact on the credit report, all it says is
"VISA/FDSB" as the issuer. How can I find out who issued the card so
that it can be canceled? (we have all of the card number except the
last four digits as they were on her report)

FDSB stands for Federated Department Stores Bank, which issues Visa
cards for Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Burdine's, and other department
stores. Has your wife ever applied for a co-branded credit card at a
department store?

Thank you for accepting my suggestions as the answer to your question.
I have re-posted the material below.

FDSB stands for Federated Department Stores Bank, which issues Visa
cards for Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Burdine's, and other department
stores. Has your wife ever applied for a co-branded credit card at a
department store?

This page gives an address and phone for Federated Department Stores'
credit services facility:

Here's a contact page with an online form that might be useful:

Google search strategy:

Google Web Search: "fdsb" + "federated department stores"

Google Web Search: "visa" + "federated department stores"

I'm glad to have been able to help! I know firsthand how perplexing it
can be to find information on your credit report and not know where it
came from.

By an odd coincidence, I already knew about the Federated Department
Stores Bank, since a friend of mine needed assistance with her Macy's
credit card recently, and I'd learned about the FDSB connection while
I was gathering information for her.

Best wishes,
pinkfreud
