I would like a list of the Top 100 UK ISVs by revenue ie Should
ideally only include UK originating ISVs. This would therefore
exclude the likes of Oracle and Microsoft and would therefore have
Sage ranked number 1. Failing this, a list of ISVs based on UK
revenue would be a second choice.

Thanks

Here's one potential source:

Undoubtedly both IDC and Gartner Group have U.K. or European market
studies, though you'll probably have to separate U.K.-based
corporations from all ISVs, as it's a very international business.

Can I make the assumption then that you don't believe that this sort
of information is freely available ie can be found by web searching?
Or do you need more money :)

Nick7global --

I do a lot of software/computer market research and did a quick check
to see if any magazines had published a list (with no success). The
market research firms will certainly have one but definitions are
likely to be quite different for who participates.

First, being an international business, many would consider Microsoft
U.K. to be part of their list (as much as Sage UK Limited). Second,
ISV is a broad category including systems integrators (custom
installation and consulting companies) as well as software vendors.

Again, the best bet would be to find a publication that summarizes
your list -- but I didn't have any luck in a short search. Absent
that, the market research firms are going to be the most-authoritative
(and expensive) solution.

Best regards,
