Wacky send/receive error on our brand new Exchange 2003 server We are installing an Exchange 2003 server and have everything working but one item. When any user hits hitting send/receive from outlook (connected through VPN or connected via ?RPC over HTTP?) They get an error message. Everything works, but they get the message. Here are the details: We followed KB article 275171 but can?t shake the error we get when we click send/receive button on Outlook. Can be connected standard MAPI with VPN. Or can be connected RPC over HTTP. Clicking that button runs 2 tasks. The first completes (mail successfully sent and received). But the 2nd task errors out ? Task ?Microsoft Exchange Server? reported error (0x8004010F): ?The operation failed. An object could not be found.? A few sites I found said at issue was the syncing of the offline address list. I remember experimenting with permissions there using the ADSI Edit tool a few days ago when trying to secure permissions for the new offline lists I created ? one for each virtual domain. Don?t know if it worked before that or not. At any rate I used the GUIDgen.exe util to try to reset the system folders as the article described. Created the new GUID. Ran ADSI Edit and inserted the value into SiteFolderGuid for the First Administrative Group container. Restarted Exchange. Retested with Outlook client (brand new profile) and still get the above error when clicking send/receive. How to get rid of error? Thanx in advance, |
