I am interested in obtaining statistical information on the number of
reported cases of Harassment by parents and or gymnasts involved in
the Sport of Artistic Gymnastics to Provincial, State or National
Organizations or any other authority. As a result of the recent
production of The Perfect 10 by Aaron Brown, Host, CNN and books/TV
production such as Little Girls in Pretty Boxes.
I am interested in this information as it relates to the sport in the
USA and Canada
Are the negative aspects of this sport indicated in these productions
as prevalent as portrayed if so what are the statistics or research to
back this up. If gymnastics was all about eating disorders, injuries,
feuding parents, and abusive coaches, why do so many people
participate in the sport?
As part of this what are the numbers of children participating in the
sport and the number that reach the elite level in the USA and Canada.
