Hello cindycindy-ga,

I'm not sure what you're asking for. What do you mean by "call centre
environment"? Are you talking about a particular social / work /
attitude environment? Or are you referring to technology configuration
when you use this term? What would you like to find out about
"employees use of personal computers"? Do you have a theory you're
hoping to validate? The more information you can give about the
backround of your question, the more likely you are to get an answer.
Thanks.

My aim is to try and establish whether employees at a mobile phone
call centre are encouraged or discouraged, by their work environment,
from using a computer at home. So to answer your questions:

1. I would say yes, I am talking about a social/work/attitude environment.

2. I would like to establish the percentage of employees using a
computer and the purposes for the computer is used. For example, the
Internet, games, household accounts, banking etc. How much reliance
the employee has on computer usage and could the employee manage
without a computer.

I would have to use a questionnaire for research and my questions
would include the above.

WEll a call center can't go without computers..
From my point of view there are 2 kinds of call center's 1 is which
does the sales and customer care the other is the a Techincal Support.
Which ever the type of call center it may be you cann't go wihtout
computer as 82% of the people who work in call center has a computer
with them and use them on a daily basis..
The Main use of computer in a call center is to logg the data of the
call and the Customer's information.
If you ask me if a call center employee could go without computers it's a big NO.
