difference, in terms of which off-line resources we use to research
the artist.

I don't know for certain if this is a current artist or if he's from a
previous period. I have one of his paintings, which is a harbor scene
from a previous period with sailing ships and women in old-fashioned
dress at a seaside market. Several of his paintings are listed with
artprice.com, but they have no biographical information on him. Sorry,
this is all I have. Hope you can find more.
