I?m trying to figure out the best solution to a simple yet
many-solutions task. I?m sure small-sized companies like mine all
over the world ponder over this issue on an ongoing basis.

I have been asked by my boss to compile a comprehensive database for
the company which will be used for email broadcasting/fax broadcasting
and mailing lists (label printing).

Now, I?m wondering whether databases (MS Access) or other contact
management software (MS outlook) or any other custom software would be
ideal for this.

I would like to point that the complete task is to be done by me and I
have user level comfort with both (Access & Outlook). Im sure this add
to my learning of both the applications.

There are approx 12 groups of target audience which have to be
complied as tables in access or as distribution lists in outlook.

Now, I?d appreciate someone telling me what?s the best solutions for
this kind of job and what are the pros and cons for choosing one over
the other.

Hi there,

Are you looking for a design specific to outlook/access or are you
looking for other solutions (software applications) to handle this?
This is actually quite a wide array of them available - also a price
limit would be helpful so we can narrow down the result list.

Hello answer guru

I am looking for a MS Outlook/ MS Access design solution preferably
(since I have user level knowledge of both of these) and also which
one is the better of the two for the kind of job i mentioned in the
question but here's the catch - I'm also wondering if there are better
and simpler software to do this kind of a job. Remember using a new
software would mean having the hang of it and my focus is to get the
end result the simple and less time consuming way.

In short, Id like you to focus on answering me on MS outlook and
access prespective but also touch upon the other options. As per the
price range, it depends really..Somwhere about $100-$150 (I really
have no idea about the price range of these other softwares). Also let
me tell you Im not in the USA and sowewhere in the Middle East so
generic options which are widely available on net along with online
support would be ideal.

Hi there,

Seems I have not appropriately priced this question. I dont see
researcher's willing to answer this one.
How about if i limit my question's clarification to the following:

"I am looking for a MS Outlook/ MS Access design solution preferably
(since I have user level knowledge of both of these) and also which
one is the better of the two for the kind of job i mentioned in the
original question"

Answer guru - if you feel the part about other softwares will need
more research and the price doesnt justify for it, you may just answer
the first part of the question.

Thanx
