Good question, but I'm think the answer depends on numerous factors - such as :

Definition of 'fastest'
Being able to play both instruments

If you are looking for an opinion from myself or another researcher
that plays bass or guitar, we can offer some insight - with a couple
of links for further reading. I personally stay away from Ovations.
The necks are far too thin/narrow for me ;-)

THANX! I'D LIKE AN ACOUSTIC/ELECTRIC THAT HAS A THIN, NARROW NECK
[SIMILAR TO A JAZZ BASS], THIN AT THE NUT WITH FAST ACTION. I'VE BEEN
PLAYING ELECTRICS PROFESSIONALLY FOR ALMOST 42 YEARS [STARTED AT 12]
AND WOULD LIKE A NICE ACOUSTIC TO HAVE IN ADDITION. I WAS TOLD THAT
THE 2 BASSES I WROTE ABOUT WOULD BE WORTHWHILE CHOICES BUT I NEED
SUBSTANTIAL CLARIFICATION.
THANX AGAIN !!
