which is the best voip gateway to use between India(HYD) and
US(BOSTON)? We evaluated Quintum Tenor and looks ok. Just wanted to
get a second opinion.

The problem that you may experienced is the unstable bandwidth.  Try
to do a ping test first, usually a ping test below 1000ns and without
data lost will be good enough for VoIP connection.

Moreover, althoughs most VoIP gateway nowadays does have, but you have
to be care of what Codec it is using for voice compression.  A prefer
codec is G.723.1 (not G.723, it is a total difference one) or G.723A/B
