mornin' kids! granny sees some of the these $2 questions that float through asking for outrageous amounts of information for this price. if she could reach through the screen and smack some of these boneheads for you, she would. I prefer to ask $2 questions and reward you researchers further in the tip area, but granny has established a pattern of behavior. if I were in your shoes, I'd want to know what the questioner wanted, clearly and concisely, so this is what a clean transaction might look like: EXAMPLE I'm looking for the correct spelling/meaning of the word in quotes. the patient had a monochorionic pregnancy. the "signants (signets?)" were delivered at 31 weeks. I've checked under si/sy and even cy- (but I'm fairly sure she didn't deliver swans). I need one (1) authoritative link that provides me with the correct spelling and definition. No copying, no pasting of text, no tip ... just a link for granny to follow. thanks very much! GB |

nope, sorry, no "b" sound. hear an "s/c/z," an "n" and a hard "g" and a "t" but the rest is up for grabs. "singlets" perhaps?? my colleagues are stumped as well which is why I brought this puzzle to you guys as the kings/queens of word/spelling challenges. |

If it was monochorionic, it suggests that they were identical twins. Single babies are always monochorionic, so it wouldn't have been mentioned. Non-identicals are always dichorionic. If the babies were delivered at 31 weeks, and were monochorionic, it's possible that this could have been due to twin-twin transfer syndrome (ttfs). Dunno if that helps. JM |

I'm with juggler on this, except I would suggest "dizygotes," referring to twins. |

Any chance the context allows it to be 'segments'? |

sorry, thought this question had an easy answer. I see now that it doesn't, so I'm going to close it and try for a better example. |
