I've written Google Guide, an interactive tutorial on searching with Google. It includes exercises to give users practice with the material and to present amusing and/or useful information. Please suggest additional problems to include in one or more of the following sections: Sharpening Your Query http://www.googleguide.com/page_9.html#exercises Using Search Operators (Advanced Operators) http://www.googleguide.com/page_10.html#exercises Spelling Corrections http://www.googleguide.com/page_13.html#exercises Cached Pages http://www.googleguide.com/page_15.html#exercises Similar Pages http://www.googleguide.com/page_16.html#exercises Specific Topics and Sites http://www.googleguide.com/page_36.html#exercises |

Great site! You've maintained the elegant simplicity of Google's own site, along with a thorough attention to detail and content. I wish you the very best in your ventures. sublime1-ga |

Thank you for your kind words. May I have permission to include what you said in the introduction to Google Guide? http://www.googleguide.com/page_2.html If so, how would you like to be described. Here's what I wish to include, with sublime1-ga replaced by whatever you choose: "Great site! You've maintained the elegant simplicity of Google's own site, along with a thorough attention to detail and content. --sublime1-ga" |

While going through your site, I noticed a slight error: http://www.googleguide.com/page_2.html "Google Guide is roughly divided into three parts. The first part offers tips on searching. The second third explains Google's search results and the third part describes many of Google's specialized search services." That should be: The second PART explains... <making use of my proof-reading skills> :) Anyway, great idea you've thought of. I'm sure even us researchers will get some use out of it! rainbow~ |
