I am a fan of the late Barbara Olson, author of 2 bestselling books,
lawyer and conservative television commentator. I read in some
articles that her marriage to Ted Olson was actually her second
marriage. I cannot seem to find many details about her early life. I
know she was a ballerina dancer, a teacher and lived out in Hollywood
for awhile in order to help her get the money to attend law school. I
was just wondering what her parents did for a living, and wanted more
details about her first marriage and early life.

This is just my personal opinion -- I cannot speak for Google Answers
nor for other researchers -- but I feel that an answer to this type of
question (however innocently asked) could intrude on Barbara Olson's
private life, particularly when the answer is posted in a public forum
like this.

True, she was a public figure and open to public scrutiny, but her
parents or previous husband are not in the public eye. Certainly after
the tragedy of September 11, they deserve their privacy.

It's a blurry line that I don't think we should cross.

Ms Olsen was not especially respectful of the private lives of others.
For example, in an interview with one the UK's leading papers, The
Telegraph, Ms Olsen characterised Bill Clinton's late mother as "a
bar-fly who allowed herself to be used by men". (See the valedictory

Ms Olsen was born in Houston, Texas, on December 27 1955. Her parents
were Victor and Louise Bracher.

Hi stacy,Hope this helps. Barbara Olson was born Barbara Bracher.Her
parents were V.C and Louise Bracher.She has a brother David and a
sister named Antoinette whose married name is Lawrence.They both live
in Texas.I have not been able to find out anything about her first
marriage yet,only that her marriage to Ted was her second and his
third.
