1. The attributes you need to be an outstanding teacher are a love of
children, patience and an understanding that each child is at a
different level (ages and stages), and that each child learns in
different ways. You should know how to communicate effectively to the
children and the parents. You should be able to refer or give outside
sources of help to the parents when needed. You should also be able to
devote a great deal of time without expecting a huge salary in
return-- only the gratification that comes from seeing the child
learn.


2. To address a wide range of skills in your classroom, first each
child has to be assessed through naturalistic, informal or structured
activities. Once you assess the child you will know what is referred
to by psychologist Lev Vyhotsky as the Zone of Proximal Development
(ZPD).  Teachers use the ZPD to know where the child is and then you
can decide what steps can be taken to assist that child to the next
level through different activities. In the classroom you want to use
Gardner?s Theory of Multiple Intelligences because each child has a
different learning style. Gardner identified eight intelligences.

At the top of my list would be to demonstrate a genuine love for the
students.  They can tell if it's real.  Next on my list would be to
learn to be interesting, so my students would look forward to class
time.  Both qualities are difficult to achieve.  I don't have an
answer for your second question.
