Hello,
Geocities does not offer CGI scripting, even with its Plus and Pro
packages. CGI scripting is most typically written in Perl or C++.
You'd need web hosting with CGI capability, or perhaps, alternatively,
PHP hosting. The most popular Open Source (free) forum software is
written in PHP. Most commercial webspace provides CGI and PHP
capabilities. There are also free web space providers that offer these
features.
CGI Host Search (tick the CGI box)

Free PHP Webhost Reviews
http://www.0php.com/free_PHP_hosting.php
Another alternative would be a remotely hosted forum, i.e. a forum
hosted on a forum service webserver, and linked or framed within your
own website.
Please let us know which option(s) you'd prefer.

I want the forum script to be made by yourslef or somebody, I don't
want a hosted forum or free on web to get. This forum will be for
personal use not for sale or anythnig else.
Sincerely, JT

Hopefully another researcher will be able to better assist you.
Without program details and testing parameters, it's impossible to
script. You'll have to specify a language, an environment, and your
server specifications in order to commission such a script. Geocities
does not allow CGI scripting. Such a coding project is time intensive,
probably more so than the offered fee will cover.
I can recommend phpBB, an open source forum script with thousands of
development hours invested to date. It can be customized to match any
website look at feel.

Hello,
Why don't you want an already made forum? There are great pieces of
software out there that can fit your needs. If not, are opensource and
can be customized. Please, let me know if you are interested. Also,
geocities it's not the best place to host such kind of scripts.
Regards.

Hello, justin:
Nice to hear that, but to run a forum (custom or already made) you
need a host able to run some kind of scripts (PHP, Perl) and host a
database (MySQL). I'm afraid that geocities is not the best place for
that. I suggest you to take a look to:
PHPWebhosting
http://www.phpwebhosting.com
The performance is great just for $9.95/mo.
Also, if you have any other site able to run such software, please,
tell me and I will install there. Please, let me know.
Regards.

Hello, justin:
Ok, so write a text file with all the access info to your host:
host
user
pass
database
databaseuser
databasepass
And upload this text file using this utility:
http://www.xpde.com/upload.php
When you upload that file, I will be the only one with access to it,
so don't worry, this info won't be public.
Regards.
