Hi rickkaraoke,
Secret901 is correct, to gain POP access using Yahoo.com, you need to
pay $19.99 per year. However, there is a way to do it within Yahoo,
but it requires an extra step or two and it means signing up for a new
account at the UK Yahoo website, which offers POP access for free. You
could have your email forwarded from your Yahoo.com address to your
uk.yahoo.com address and have Outlook get it from there.
To read more about it, first make sure you are not signed-in to your
regular Yahoo.com account, and go to:
http://edit.europe.yahoo.com/config/mail?.intl=uk
Click on "Mobilize Your Mail....More":
POP Access:
"Forward emails from your Yahoo! Mail account to another, or receive
emails in your Yahoo! Mail from another for free!. This is often
referred to as POP Access & Forwarding; an email account with POP
Access is one that you are able to access through another service,
such as Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express or Netscape Mail"
To sign up for a UK account, click on "Get Yahoo! Mail Now".

Another alternative is to try FuseMail, which consolidates all of your accounts.
"Access all of your Email from anywhere
- Microsoft Outlook® with FuseMail plug-in In addition to storing your
email, with this plug-in you can store your MS Outlook® Address Book,
Calendar, Notes, Journal, and Task list folders on your FuseMail
Account.
- Microsoft Outlook Express® with IMAP
- FuseMail webmail interface With this interface you can access not
only your email but also your Address Book, Calendar, Notes, Journal,
and Task list folders.
- Any email client that supports IMAP"

I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please post a

Hi rickkaraoke,
Well, I'm sorry to hear the Yahoo UK connection didn't work out -
thank you for bringing me up-to-date.
Consider having another look at FuseMail - once you get it set-up, it
should work. The problem you are having is with Yahoo, not with
Outlook - it would be possible to do if you paid $19.99 per year to
Yahoo. FuseMail gives you a free means to do it and they seem to have
pretty good instructions on how to set it up. Did you look at their
demo?

Give it a try - if you don't like it, you can always uninstall it, but
it will enable you to download your Yahoo mail using Outlook (for
free).
