I have a lanready.com PCI 802.11B wirless card. I am running windows
XP pro SP1 with all critical updates. The drivers for the 802.11b
card are the latest. The PCI card uses the ADM8211 chipset. The card
installs fine, I can configure it with microsoft 802.11b networking
(or the client utility) but the Client always states that the Card is
"disconnected" even tough it works fine. This is more of an
inconvience then anything, but I would like the system tray icon to
reflect the correct state of the card. Any thoughts?

Hi,

Is there a wireless signal that is available to which your card can
connect? Such as a wireless router or access point.
If not, the card will always appear as disconnected.

Thanks.

Yes I use a linksys 802.11G router that works fine. Connectivity on
the workstation is fine, I can surf, download hundreds of megs via the
card; the connection Status displayed though is "wireless network is
not available" in the system tray.
