Since we don't know where you live, and since channel assignments
differ from place to place, it would be very helpful to know which
network (such as PBS, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, etc.) occupies
channel 3 in your TV lineup. That would enable us to narrow the search
considerably.

Hello.

Based on additional research, I must conclude that you saw a
television report about SeeMoreWildlife.com
http://www.seemorewildlife.com/

From what I can tell, SeeMoreWildlife is the organization that uses
solar-powered cameras to take photographs of wildlife in Alaska. Read
an article about them on Alaska.com:
"Alaska's Bear Cam"
http://www.alaska.com/akcom/bearcam/story/1505924p-1623467c.html

It's hard to guess exactly what program you might have seen on Sunday,
but perhaps it was PBS' "Green Means" which recently did a show about
SeeMoreWildlife.com. See:
Green Means: "Remote Viewing Wildlife," hosted by Kqed.org
http://gm.kqed.org/4/1/

Thanks to my colleague Omnivorous-ga for his advice on this question.

search strategy:
solar cameras, alaska wildlife

I hope this helps. If anything is unclear, or you would like
additional information, please let me know via the "request

Nobody named Steve Roth appears to be involved, but a web site called
SeeMoreWildlife.com uses solar-powered cameras to photograph wildlife
in Alaska:
