Our site has a 302 Found redirect from / to the actual location of our homepage. We've been up a while and are climbing in the search results, but we still don't have a pagerank. Site: http://www.PBFixIt.com/ Content: http://www.pbfixit.com/cart/catalog/index.html Questions: 1) We don't have a pagerank at our content page because no one links to it-- they just link to the main site. Does this mean that http://www.PBFixIt.com/ does not have a pagerank? If not, can is there a way to determine that? 2) Is the 302 redirect hurting us? Google and others continually crawl our whole site. All external links are consistently to http://www.PBFixIt.com/ 3) Any site-specific search engine optimization recommendations? I would appreciate a technically detailed response. I will request clarification before rating answer. | |

Considering this page has a PageRank of 5: http://www.pbfixit.com/cart/customer/help.php ...I would assume that www.pbfixit.com would have a PR5 or better To rank well for your main keyword, two things might be enough to get into the top 10: 1) Get a listing in Open Directory 2) Change the page title of www.pbfixit.com/cart/catalog/index.html to "PowerBook Parts". Page titles carry a lot of weight, and from an SEO point of view are wasted on the name of your business |
