I want to know the thermal conductivity of Udimet 720[Li], a
nickel-based alloy. Please provide full source citations.

Hi dgc,

I have tried searching online, looking through a materials library,
and contacting the manufacturer of this material, all to no avail for
an explicit value for this property.  I did, however, find data on the
elemantal composition of this alloy.  It is theoretically possible to
compute the thermal conductivity of Udimet 720 from the composition
percentage data as well as the thermal conductivity values for each of
the composing elements.  Would this answer be sufficient for your
purposes?  I asked a friend of mine who has a lot of experience with
materials science, and he said my solution "would quite possibly work,
but I'm not sure."  I wish I had a more precise answer, but that's it.
 Please let me know if the answer I described deriving above would be
alright for your purposes, and if it is, I shall post it as an
official answer.  Thanks.

We may end up going for this, but for the time being we are holding
our for the precise answer. I will add a further clarification later

How accurate of data do you need? U720 is similar to several other Ni
base super alloys and thus will have relative similar T/C. Theoretical
calculation would be close but to be truly accurate a sample of
material should be tested.

Thanks for the effort, but this question expired several months ago
and is no longer something I am pursuing. I believe my engineer
settled for approximations based on the makeup of the allow, as per
the request for clarification to this question.
