I'm writing a novel on a very tight deadline so I need all this asap. If I can't have this in 7 days I can't use it. Thanks, 1. Where was the Denver police station of 1885 located (what street, section of town) and what did the exterior look like 2. I need a detailed description of the business-shopping area in 1885--what kind of lights, names of several stores, notable sights, restaurants, etc. 3. Types of hotels from fancy to mid-priced 4. Could you carry guns openly in the city 5. Types of clothing worn by city men, city women 6. How many phones, electric lights in use? What kind of trolley system? Describe trolley cars if possible. 5. Limestone quarries in the Denver area then 7. Huvenile deliquency in Denver |

Found this so far: "The following is a description of a trip over the Colorado Central Railroad in 1885. The narrative comes from George Croffuts' "Grip Sack Guide to Colorado" published in 1885. This will give you an idea of what it was like to be there at the time. The article also contains a short history of the Colorado Central Railroad...." http://www.narrowgauge.org/ngc/html/excursion6/excursion6-croffut.html |

Maybe a useful bit of info: "In 1885, Denver recorded 23 inches of snow on the 23rd of April" http://www.intellicast.com/Almanac/FourCorners/April/ |

Hello writerguy-ga, You will have better luck getting an answer if you break this up into several smaller questions. Researchers will be reluctant to answer a seven part question if even one piece is missing. Since speed is of the essence, you could have seven people working on the seven questions. Just close this one and post new ones. Good luck with your novel. ~ czh ~ |
