We need a user tests on a new site that is just days away from going
live. We need someone to go to www.headsets.com/newsite.html and place
an order for a headset. Put TEST in the credit card field.

1) Were there any barriers to you selecting a headset and placing an order?
2) How did you feel about the process?
3) Was there enough information, in the right place to make an
informed decision about which headset you needed?
4) Are you comfortable buying from headsets.com and why/why not?

The search box is not currently populated, please use other methods to
select your headset of choice.

Please note your answer will not be rated or tipped based on positive
or negative feedback, but will be rated and tipped based on QUALITY of
feedback. Please provide URLs or action sequences of any
weirdness/confusion/lack of clarity. Thanks!

Hello, headsetdotcom-ga,

First, please let me tell you it was an interesting experience to do
this customer-test job. Thanks for the chance.

As a general outline, I can tell you that the whole website seemed to
me very adequately designed for its purpose. Pages layout are clear,
sober in style yet appealing, maybe a bit overcharged of text
?particularly the home page- but still it doesn?t fall out of balance
between a comfortable reading and the company purpose of offering
products, services and company commitment.

As to your particular questions, I couldn?t find any barrier to select
and order a headset. The process was comfortable, wisely oriented, and
made me feel respected by the company as a customer. Information was
quite enough and the possibility to combine search criteria such as
type of product beginning with the menus on the frame above (Corded
Headsets?, Wireless Headsets?, etc) and its options (complete systems,
just headsets, just amplifiers and etcetera, in the first case), then
the categories manufacturer, style, etcetera is very helpful to make
the right decision. The specific help links below the Manufacturer,
Head Style and Microphone menus are good added values (living aside
the fact that the last one is still not available, yet well resolved
by leading you to an explanation and a Customer Support number).

The Headset Wizard (New to Headsets? Link on the frame at the left
?Hassle-Free Shopping menu) is a valuable orientation to find what
you?re looking for.

In general terms, navigation is friendly and fast. It doesn?t mix you
up: all the links I?ve tried ?and I believe I?ve tried them all- take
you where you expect to go by reading its label. Forcing myself for
some criticism, I could mention a couple of minor disadvantages. One
would be that the above-mentioned menus for Manufacturer, Head Style
and Microphone, when displayed, don?t draw back soon enough once
you?ve moved the mouse. The same happens with the menus on the frame
at the top of page (Corded Headsets?, Wireless Headsets?, etc), which
are also mouse-sensitive, so if you happen to move the cursor
accidentally on them, the menus display with a bit of visual
discomfort, but it?s really a minor thing.

To finish, one word about company policies. The statements reachable
through the links on the frame at the left enhance the likeliness that
I ever bought at your website, particularly the Free Return Shipping,
the 60 Day Money-Back Guarantee, 110% Price Protection, and the
possibility to email the president?s hotline. They partially wipe away
the fears of distant shopping.

I hope this review report fulfills your expectations. Please feel free
to ask for any clarification you may need. Thank you very much for
your question.

Guillermo
