Good Morning,

Rather than posting this as an answer, which I don't have at this
time, I'll post a comment letting you know I've found what might turn
out as being good news for you!

I made a few long distance phone calls, and located La Parfumerie in
Seattle Washington. They specialize in finding very old, very
discontinued, discontinued fragrances both for men and women.

The nice man I spoke with is making calls as I write this and will be
emailing me within 2 days (possibly sooner) to let me know what he
found, and if Champagne is available, I'll post the information for
you. As he said "This is what we do, and we're very good at it -
locating perfumes that are not available anymore."

If you wish to contact them directly I spoke to Brandon -

classic fragrances that are not carried in stores anymore but, which

fragrances from around the world. With a selection of over 300 in

Dear ca16354,

I'm sorry to report I received this bit of bad news a few minutes ago:

"Dear xxxxxxxx:
Thank you for your inquiry regarding Montiel's Champagne.
Unfortunately, this fragrance has been discontinued for so long that
all of the remaining stock has been sold from all of our distributors.

Feel free to call us with any other fragrance questions you may have
and we will work on getting you as timely a response as possible.
More times than not, we are successful at locating fragrances.
Sincerely,
Brandon Baker
La Parfumerie, Seattle
253-946-0946"

I hope another researcher will have a better outcome.

Have you tried Fabulous Fragrances? Someone recently advertised on
their message board (on May 22) that Germaine Monteil Champagne was
available on Ebay. I searched Ebay and did not find it, but you may
want to contact the owner of the board where it was posted:
http://www.fabulousfragrances.com/wwwboard/wwwboard.html

or leave a message on the board at the posting to inquire if the
seller still has it (the May 22 posting):

Champag*e was launched in 1983. This miniature is for the 5ml eau de
parfum and is 2 1/4 inches tall. The cap of the bottle is a black
sphere which has a clear half moon over it. There is a tiny frosted
star in the moon.

The above website presents a picture of the bottle but, alas, no
perfume...
