Hello orty8-ga,

Depending on how you look at it, there were anywhere from two to four
Czech language newspapers published in Racine, WI.

Most notably, there was (1) Slavie. It was formed from the merger of
two other papers, one of which was (2) Slovan Amerikansky (or Slowan
Amerikansky). For a brief time, there was (3) Amerikan, which was
sold to a paper in Omaha. Finally, there was a literary serial, (4)
Rodina.

In sum, Slavie and Amerikan count as two newspapers; Slovan
Amerikansky might count as a third newspaper, if you don't simply
treat it as the same as its successor, Slavie; and Rodina might be a
fourth, if you view it as a newspaper rather than a serial.

A fellow Researcher (thanks, Juggler!) has found a fifth newspaper,
Pokrok. (It does not appear to be connected with Amerikan, which was
sold to the Omaha newspaper Pokrok Zapadu.)
