Greetings.

I am trying to find a "time in transit" matrix or map for USPS
Priority Mail Service originating from zip code 01060 (Northampton,
MA).

This matrix (or map) should include the number of days in transit from
the origination point (above) to each of the 50 U.S. states.

USPS says on their website that the transit time 'averages' between 2
to 3 days for Priority Mail packages, but I want to know the exact
number of days in transit for each state.

Sometime like this would be great, but it doesn't have to be graphical.

Thanks for your assistance.

Hi Garrick!

Nice to see you herabouts!

I couldn't find a map, but I *did* find a nifty API that appears to do
what you want:

"Service Standards
(A) Priority MailŪ
In your shopping cart or at your customer service center, you can
request transit time standards for Priority MailŪ service between any
two 5-digit ZIP Codes?. You get an average delivery standard for two-
or three-day service.

(B) Package Services
Provides estimates on delivery between 3-digit ZIP Codes for Parcel
Post, Bound Printed Matter, Library Mail and Media Mail. Your
e-shoppers will know up front the expected delivery times without
having to call your customer service center."

USPS Web Tools
http://www.usps.com/webtools/delivery.htm

I registered to test it for you, but the pokey snail mail service says
I'll get access "within 24 hours". <*grumble*>

Hi Missy:

Thanks for your help.

Judging from the verbiage on the USPS site, I'm prepared for the fact
that the map I seek may not exist.

But then again, you guys are great in finding stuff I missed.

Look forward to hearing back from you.

The API is not my first choice (wanted something really simple), but
is a good second choice.

Thanks again.
