I've got several older games that my kids still enjoy playing that
worked fine on Windows 98se, now that i've upgraded to windows xp
those games no longer work and the software developer that made them
is no more. How do I play those games in windows xp?

Thanks much for the help you two.

I tried the compatability thing, alas it didn't work.

I'm unsure as to whether or not i'm tech savy enough to take on
repartitioning my HD and installing a 2nd OS. I've got a brother
in-law that runs XP, and another OS called Linux so i'll talk to him
about that though.

Are there any ways out there to do it other than these two?

1. You could keep the Windows 98 on a sepparate partition and use it
just to play these games.
2. Install some kind of [OS] emulator e.g. VMWare (which I think is
the easiest way to do it).
3. make a FAT32 partition to keep the games there and just use a boot disk to use it

HI,

have you tries the 'Compatibility' command in XP?

Directions:

Right click on the program you are trying to run (or install)

Select Properties
Select the Compatibility Tab

You have many options here, you can run as different OS's and change
Display settings etc..

Could help! :)
