I seek the name, website, and/or stock market call letters for a small

about in the
"Boston Business Journal", the "Boston Globe", "The Wall Street
Journal" and the journal "Research and Development Directions"

nickinvestor--

I have found one possibility -- a small (about 20 employees)
Boston-area company that has been written about this year in the Wall
Street Journal and Boston Globe. Its new technology is related to
harvesting and re-using otherwise wasted electrical energy generated
by other sources; e.g., in a household.

Your question is too general for me to be at all sure that this is the
one you are after. Can you provide any other information about the
technology developed by the company you are interested in, along with
any other hints?

The question is general and vague because I am trying to obtain
information without paying the $1000 pricetag that Pirate Investor
Dilligence is advertizing in emails like the one below. The website
listed at the bottom has more enticing information without giving away
the company name. There may be 1 or 100 companies that satisfy the
conditions, but I'll be satisfied with one or two that you think are a
close match. I'll be delighted to see the MIT list that is referenced
below, but realize this is not part of the original question.

Tomorrow night, Pirate Investor analyst Dave Lashmet will
reveal the name of the emerging technology company we first
told you about last week.

This very small company in Boston has been developing a
new, secret technology -- one that was recently included in
MIT's "10 emerging technologies that will change the world"
list.

This technology has been written up in The Wall Street
Journal, The Boston Business Journal, and more than a
half-dozen scientific publications. It will be put to use
in a $60 billion industry...

Yet this company -- trading for just over $1 today -- isn't
just "undiscovered," it's completely unknown. Based on what
Dave has learned, in the next 12 months, $10 per share is a
reasonable 12-month target.

This opportunity simply dwarfs what our research normally
turns up.

Hello.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the company you're
looking for is GlycoGenesys, Inc.
http://www.glycogenesys.com/

Contact information:
GlycoGenesys, Inc.
Park Square Building
31 St. James Avenue, 8th Floor
Boston, MA 02116
Phone: (617) 422-0674
source: Yahoo Finance

Several factors suggest that GlycoGenesys is the company that you want.

(1)

According to the web page that you cite, 'John Axford, a member of
England's Royal Society, calls this technology "one of the last
frontiers."'
http://www.agora-inc.com/reports/DIL/WDILDB08/

Axford was talking about glycobiology.

(2)

GlycoGenesys is in Boston, is working on glycobiology, and has less
than 20 employees.

(3)

You state that this company is "trading for just over $1 today."

GlycoGenesys closed at $1.75 yesterday on the NASDAQ.

Yahoo's 5-day chart indicates that the stock was around $1.40 earlier in the week.

search strategy:
axford "one of the last frontiers"
glycobiology boston

I hope this helps. If you have any reason to believe that this isn't
the company that you wanted, please use the "request clarication"
feature to let me know. Thanks.

It was incredibly smart and skillful to pull tidbits of investment
information from deliberately vague and general advertising copy to
arrive at a company name and extensive information about the company.
Thank you very much. It was well worth the money. Sincerely,
NickInvestor
