Question ID: 279422
Are asphalt shingles a valid method for leveling depressions in a
subfloor to ready it for hardwood, and if so, how is should it be done
and will there be a "crunching" sound when walking on the floors due
to the gravel found on shingles?

I've found only one article about using asphalt shingles:
