I'd like to find a small piece of software that will light up the
NumLock or ScrollLock LED/light on my keyboard whenever the hard disk
is active. I have, of course, a hard-disk-activity light on my tower
but it's under the desk. I'm hoping to find something that will flash
a light on my keyboard (not on the screen) whenever the HD is
activated.

Hi Endo -- it's you and me on here tonight, eh? ;-)

Nope, I'm looking for something that will light up a hardware light,
not something on the taskbar. I know they exist out there somewhere...

Hi,

I have found an application that will blink in the system tray
whenever there is disk activity, will this suit you?

Thanks.

Hi again jhabley,

It certainly seems so :)

If there is a program out there, I can't seem to find it. For $1 or
so, you could get some wire and another LED and wire this up to your
motherboard in about 5min and place the LED on your desk :)

Thanks.

LOL! I suppose that'd be one option! ;-)

Well it wouldn't be that hard, would only take a few minutes and you'd
get the choice of a color, if you're interested I can give you a
detailed guide on how to do this.

Thanks.
