I am reading about this AIRCARD on ebay. Says it works with PDA (like my Palm Pilot VIIX maybe?) and (not sure that is why I am asking) with a wireless laptop, if and when I get one. In so many words I know so little I don't even know how to make the question. Do I want to get one, this one, for about $12??? With the Sierra Wireless AirCard 300 you can gain seemless wireless access to your enterprise networks, Intranets, email, and the Internet anywhere, anytime. Sleek and reliable, the AirCard 300 integrates smoothly into your notebook or handheld PC providing a single wireless solution for multiple portable devices. The AirCard 300 operates on Cellular Digital Packet Data (CDPD) networks - most major carriers such at AT&T Wireless, Verizon Wireless, Cingular and Telus Mobility (Canada) offer CDPD. CDPD service plans are also available through service providers such as GoAmerica, and Aether. For specific coverage areas, click on the last ''informational'' link listed below. This card is brand new and retail boxed. If you need to see more: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3443010110&category=3710 God bless. John P: |

I'm afraid the AirCard is designed to work with PCMCIA systems, such as regular desktop PCs, laptops and some Pocket PC based PDAs. Specifically, it will not work on your Palm Pilot. Also, the eBay page says the Operating Systems supported are :- - Windows 95/98/ME//NT 4/2000/XP - Windows CE 2.11 - Pocket PC - Handheld PC 2000 (CE 3.0) - Pocket PC 2002 Which does not include Palm OS. |

Elric-ga Excellent. I am easy to please (we all like to think that, right?) Please post your comment and from me you will get 5-stars!!! I needed an answer and even though it was not as favorable as I wanted, it is the answer, the right and correct answer, and it won't (aircard) work on my Palm Pilot. If there is a website where I can learn a bit more, I would appreciate it. If not, my 5-star offer stands!! God bless you to know and do His will! John P. |
